RightInterview for
A coding interview assistant that thinks out loud the way you should
Strong candidates don't jump straight to code. RightInterview's coding assistant follows the flow interviewers grade (clarify, brute force, optimize, code, test) so you can talk through it naturally.
Updated October 31, 2026
- Answers follow the interview flow, not a wall of code.
- Uses the language the interviewer asks for, otherwise the one on your resume, otherwise Python.
- Follow-ups show only the code that changes, with the new complexity.
- Share a screenshot of your editor and it continues your approach instead of starting over.
The flow it follows
- 1Clarify: the 2–4 questions that actually change the solution (input size, duplicates, sorted, empty input).
- 2Restate the problem in a sentence or two.
- 3Brute force: the simple idea, why it works and why it's too slow.
- 4Optimized approach: the key observation and the data structure that removes repeated work.
- 5Code: readable names, comments only where the logic isn't obvious.
- 6Walk through one normal case and one edge case.
- 7Complexity: time and space, and why.
One-tap buttons during the round
| Button | What you get |
|---|---|
| Clarify | The questions worth asking, plus the assumptions to state. |
| Approach | Brute force and the optimized idea, with no code yet. |
| Code it | The full flow, from restatement to edge cases. |
| Walk through | A trace of your current solution on a small example. |
| Follow-up | Only the changed code and the new tradeoff. |
| Debug | Expected vs observed behavior, root cause, fix and how to verify. |
Languages and specialties
- C++: C++17 and the STL, overflow-safe types, and concurrency basics (mutexes, condition variables, shutdown flags).
- Python: standard data structures and clear loops, with no clever one-liners.
- ML coding: tensor shapes first, forward and backward passes, numerical stability.
- SQL and PySpark: table grain, join cardinality, nulls, shuffles and skew.
Questions
- Can it see the problem on my screen?
- Yes, when you ask it to. Take a screenshot from the app and the assistant reads the problem or your current code.
- Can I change how it answers?
- Yes. Every assistant's prompt and buttons are editable on the web, so you can set your language, your style and what to skip.
